A fantastical pipe circa 1800-25. In the form of a circus performer, probably 'Grimaldi', holding a pipe, the bowl modelled as a head,
the stem and mouthpiece a combination of a dolphin with a lamprey attached.
See page 196 of 'Stoneware Bottles' by Derek Askey for a similar pipe in saltglaze from the same mould.
Bowl and end of mouthpiece restored.
